FAWE/Mastercard TVET Bursary Program 2026 for Young Zimbabweans

Applications are now open for the 2026 FAWE/Mastercard TVET Bursary Program. The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, is implementing Phase II of the Second Chance Pathways Programme to expand access to tertiary education for marginalized young women and men in Zimbabwe.
Through FAWE Zimbabwe, a total of 200 bursaries will be awarded (with 80% reserved for female applicants and 20% for male applicants) to students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programmes at selected Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across Zimbabwe. The programme will prioritize applicants facing the highest social and economic barriers, including 5–15% allocation for people with disabilities and refugees.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the FAWE/Mastercard TVET Bursary 2026, applicants must:

Be aged 15–25 years at the time of application

Meet the entry requirements of their chosen TVET institution (from the approved list)

Be a recent secondary school graduate (Ordinary or Advanced Level) from any of Zimbabwe’s ten provinces

Not be a current beneficiary of another bursary or scholarship programme

Be applying for a 2–3 year STEM-related course

Apply to one of the following participating institutions: Harare Polytechnic, Bulawayo Polytechnic, Mutare Polytechnic, Gweru Polytechnic, Kwekwe Polytechnic, or Belvedere Technical Teachers College
Special consideration will be given to applicants who are persons with disabilities, refugees, individuals infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, and orphans (partial or total).
