About CASHA Project
The Creating Shared Value with Young People in the Livestock Sector (CASHA) project is a 5-year initiative targeting 300,000 youth and women across 15 Arid and Semi-Arid Land (ASAL) counties in Kenya. The project strengthens livestock and agri-related value chains through:

Job Summary – Business Coach
The Business Coach will work directly with CASHA participants to deliver:

Business training and mentorship
-
Enterprise development services
-
Market and financial linkages
-
Support for accessing and utilizing Challenge Fund grants
-
Monitoring and reporting on enterprise progress
The role is field-based and central to empowering youth and women to access dignified employment and grow sustainable agri-businesses.
Key Responsibilities
-
Facilitate participant selection, training, and onboarding into the CASHA programme.

Mentor participants on livestock and agri-value chain enterprises.

Support the formation of business groups, cooperatives, and VSLAs.
-
Guide participants in developing business plans and accessing the Challenge Fund.

Foster partnerships with county governments, private sector actors, and TVETs.
-
Monitor business growth and savings group performance using structured M&E tools.
-
Collect and report data, success stories, and lessons learned.

Ensure effective use of program resources and compliance with BOMA’s policies.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, or Livestock.

3–5 years’ experience with youth, SMEs, and agri-value chains in ASAL regions.

Proven expertise in business development services (BDS).
-
Strong mentorship and coaching skills.
-
Knowledge of market entry strategies for micro-enterprises.

Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
-
Valid motorcycle license (A1/A2) and riding experience.

Proficiency in MS Office and mobile data collection tools (Salesforce is an advantage).

Must be a resident of the respective county.
