Position Overview
The bank is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Scientist to join its data and analytics team. The successful candidate will leverage advanced statistical techniques, machine learning, and data analysis tools to transform large datasets into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced statistical analysis and deploy predictive models on large datasets.

Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify key trends and insights.

Design, develop, and implement predictive models using machine learning and AI algorithms.

Evaluate and monitor model performance through regular metric reporting.

Transform raw data into structured features that enhance model efficiency and accuracy.

Collaborate with data engineers and BI developers to optimize data pipelines and model deployment.

Improve data collection and processing systems to enhance analytical capabilities.

Develop anomaly detection systems and ensure continuous data quality tracking.

Design and maintain components of the data warehouse including data modeling, metrics definition, and visualization.

Gather, clean, and process large volumes of structured and unstructured data for analysis.

Conduct statistical quality assurance tests and ensure the accuracy of analytical outputs.

Support business intelligence efforts by translating analytical findings into business insights.

Provide user support and training for BI tools and dashboards.

Maintain documentation and manuals for models, processes, and analytical frameworks.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BI and data science processes.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

3–5 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a related analytical role.

Strong command of SQL, relational databases (e.g., Oracle), and OLAP tools.

Excellent understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests).

Proficiency in at least one major data science toolkit such as R, Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn), Weka, or MATLAB.

Familiarity with query and data processing languages (SQL, Hive, Pig) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase).

Strong foundation in applied statistics, hypothesis testing, regression, and probability.

Experience with agile development processes and performance monitoring tools.

Ability to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple formats including HTML and PDF.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Excellent project management and coordination skills.
