Position Overview
Deloitte Consulting is seeking experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to join its network of consultants. The firm is building a roster of highly qualified professionals to provide specialized technical expertise for donor-funded and development-focused projects across Africa.
This call is open to seasoned consultants with proven experience designing and implementing evidence-based solutions in collaboration with international development partners.
Key Technical Areas of Expertise
Consultants are encouraged to apply if they have extensive experience in one or more of the following fields:

Health and Nutrition

Trade and Economic Growth

Agriculture and Food Security

Energy and Environment
-
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL)
What You’ll Bring to the Table
Ideal candidates should demonstrate:

A track record of supporting major donor-funded programs, ideally implemented in partnership with reputable organizations.

Proven ability to collaborate with local and international partners to co-create innovative, evidence-based solutions.

Strong experience securing funding from international donors such as USAID, FCDO, World Bank, or similar.

Ability to design and integrate MERL frameworks within technical solutions.
-
Expertise in developing scalable, sustainable interventions tailored to local contexts.
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a relevant discipline. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience:
-
At least 15 years of direct experience designing and implementing solutions within one or more of the above technical sectors.

Minimum 5 years in a senior technical leadership role on international donor-supported programs.
-
Deep technical expertise and understanding of evidence-based approaches and emerging trends in your field.

Strong familiarity with donor regulations, compliance standards, and performance management frameworks.

Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas clearly and persuasively.

Demonstrated success working in multi-stakeholder, cross-cultural environments.
