The International Labour Organization is a United Nations agency whose mandate is to advance social and economic justice by setting international labour standards. Founded in October 1919 under the League of Nations, it is one of the first and oldest specialized agencies of the UN.

Who is the ILO looking for?

The ILO seeks staff of the highest standards of professional competence, efficiency and integrity. Particular importance is given to selecting staff of diverse geographical origin, gender and age. We encourage applications from qualified women and men, including those with disabilities. Applications from qualified candidates from nationalities that are less than adequately represented are also particularly welcome.

The working languages of the ILO are English, French and Spanish.

Junior Professional Officers (JPO)
The JPO Programme provides valuable work experience and training opportunities for young and motivated professionals who are interested in pursuing a career in international development.
