New Media Writing Prize 2025/2026 for New-Media Storytelling (£2,000 Prize)

Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 New Media Writing Prize (NMWP). This global competition celebrates innovation in digital storytelling and new-media writing, highlighting the future of interactive literature and the evolution of the written word.
The NMWP showcases the best creative works that combine text with digital media, including interactive narratives, immersive journalism, and transmedia storytelling. Over the years, the competition has attracted some of the most talented and experimental writers and digital artists worldwide.
The competition is organized by New Media Writing Prize CIC, with facilitation and sponsorship from Bournemouth University, the University of Birmingham, One-to-One Development, and Wonderbox Digital, supported by a generous donation from if:book UK/Chris Meade.
Eligibility Requirements

The competition is free to enter and open to participants of all ages and nationalities.

Entrants under the age of 18 must have parental consent to participate and agree to the competition rules.

Winners in each category will receive the following awards:

The Chris Meade Memorial UK New Media Writing Prize: £1,000 (donated by if:book UK/Chris Meade)

In total, prizes worth over £2,000 will be awarded to outstanding submissions in the 2025/2026 competition.
