Position Overview
Save the Children is seeking a Partnerships and Localisation Coordinator to support the advancement of partnerships and localization within the Nandi Project. This position serves as a key liaison between Save the Children and its partners—both strategic and implementing—ensuring strong collaboration, effective capacity strengthening, and smooth program implementation.
The successful candidate will coordinate partner engagement, lead on capacity building initiatives, support financial accountability, and enhance localisation practices in line with Save the Children’s mission and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support on Partnership and Localisation

Serve as the primary liaison between Save the Children and project partners.

Design and coordinate capacity strengthening for partners in HR, MEARL, finance, internal controls, compliance, advocacy, communication, safeguarding, and donor reporting.

Organize and lead monthly partner review meetings; document and track action points.

Support partners in developing institutional policies (finance, HR, procurement, safeguarding, etc.).

Lead on partner due diligence, assessments, and mapping for the Nandi project.

Streamline partner reporting for quality and timeliness.
-
Support the Head of Awards and Partnerships in improving accountability mechanisms.

Ensure proper project documentation and filing on Save the Children’s online systems.
Finance
-
Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely processing of payments and partner liquidations.

Review supplier invoices and documentation for accuracy and donor compliance.
-
Manage petty cash, financial reconciliations, and monthly reporting.

Conduct financial refresher trainings for partners to strengthen accounting and reporting capacity.
Asset Management

Maintain updated asset registers including donor, value, and location details.

Oversee issuance, return, and maintenance of all project assets.

Report equipment faults, ensure regular reconciliations, and support proper asset disposal.
Capacity Building & Coordination

Strengthen partner organizations’ operational and governance systems.

Build relationships across internal teams including Awards, PDQ, Finance, Safeguarding, and Operations.

Coordinate communications and engagement among all partners.
Leadership & Networking

Demonstrate leadership aligned with Save the Children’s values and mission.

Build and maintain sustainable partnerships and networks to advance localization efforts.
Qualifications and Experience

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years working with partnerships involving local NGOs, CSOs, or faith-based organizations.

Experience managing partnerships with small to medium-sized organizations.

Strong background in program and project cycle management.
-
Experience supporting transformative capacity-building processes for local partners.

Knowledge of localisation frameworks (e.g., Grand Bargain) and humanitarian/development policy processes.

Proven ability to document and share learning effectively.

Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, and report-writing abilities.

Willingness to travel and work in diverse environments.

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
