Position Overview
UNON is seeking dynamic and qualified Special Class Instructors to deliver high-quality wellness and fitness programs at the UN Environment Complex Fitness Centre. The instructors will play a key role in promoting health, fitness, and wellbeing among clients while maintaining professional standards and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Teach specialized fitness classes including Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Salsa, Rhumba, Yoga, Spin, Taekwondo, Pilates, Aerobics, CrossFit, Acapella, Barre, and Aqua Aerobics.

Prepare studios and outdoor training spaces, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use.

Promote classes to members and non-members to boost participation and membership.

Maintain accurate client records and attendance logs.

Provide guidance and advice on fitness, health, and wellness matters.

Assist in developing marketing materials, schedules, and wellness content.

Plan, organize, and facilitate wellness events, workshops, and related activities.

Collaborate with the events and fitness teams to ensure smooth program delivery.

Gather participant feedback to improve classes and programs.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

High School Certificate (KCSE) required.

Certification in one or more areas such as Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics, CrossFit, Spin, Taekwondo, or related disciplines.

At least one year of experience teaching fitness classes in a reputable organization.

Good understanding of fitness principles, health products, and exercise equipment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and engage diverse groups of participants.
