Job Overview
The Portfolio Analyst – Financial Institutions Group (FIG) will provide analytical and operational support to the Portfolio Managers responsible for managing the regional FIG portfolio. The position involves research, analysis, and monitoring of financial institutions to ensure optimal performance, strategic growth, and effective risk management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Support Portfolio Managers in the management and monitoring of the regional FIG portfolio.

Conduct detailed industry, market, and company research to inform portfolio and investment strategies.

Analyze financial data, performance patterns, risks, and profitability of portfolio companies.

Prepare quarterly reports and dashboards covering impact, risk, capital utilization, and financial performance.

Participate in portfolio review meetings and prepare accurate meeting minutes.

Provide data-driven insights to guide investment decisions and business development.
Selection Criteria

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in an analytical or finance-related role.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of financial institutions and their operational characteristics.

Advanced PowerPoint presentation skills and ability to communicate financial insights effectively.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multicultural teams and across organizational boundaries.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.

Preferred (not mandatory): Experience with data analytics programming (SQL, Python) or Power BI for advanced financial analysis.
