Job Purpose
The Managing Director & CEO shall be responsible for leading the planning, designing, constructing, owning, operating, and maintaining of the high-voltage electricity transmission grid and regional power interconnectors.
The job holder is accountable to the Board of Directors for:

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy

Providing leadership to Senior Management and Staff
-
Ensuring compliance in formulation, development, and implementation of corporate objectives, strategies, policies, and plans

Developing and ensuring implementation of Strategic Plan, business strategies, and tariff revenue requirements
-
Managing corporate change through adaptation of new policies and strategies
Technical Oversight
-
Overseeing planning, designing, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of high-voltage electricity transmission grid and regional power interconnectors

Ensuring promotion of national and regional power trade for socio-economic development
Governance & Compliance
-
Ensuring adherence to ethical and legal guidelines to promote good corporate governance practices

Overseeing matters of compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Overseeing corruption prevention strategies and submitting reports to EACC
Financial & Resource Management

Ensuring prudent use of Company finances and assets

Mobilizing resources through Exchequer, Development Finance Institutions, PPPs, and other alternative sources

Overseeing implementation of alternative revenue sources and business opportunities

Preparing annual budget, procurement plan, work plan, and performance contract
Stakeholder Management

Forging strategic linkages with Regulators, Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Development Partners, and other stakeholders

Serving as the official spokesperson of the Company

Promoting a positive corporate image
Human Resources

Establishing and implementing transparent HR policies and organizational structure

Overseeing HR planning, performance management, capacity building, and staff welfare

Leading and motivating a multidisciplinary team
Risk & Quality Assurance

Managing corporate financial, commercial, and technical risks

Board Interface
