County Attorney – One Position

The County Attorney position is a senior legal role within the Nakuru County Government. This is a full-time job requiring significant legal experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements for County Attorney:

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized university. They must possess a Post-graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Applicants must be a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and in good standing, with a valid practicing license.

Knowledge and work experience of not less than ten years is required, with at least five years’ experience as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Candidates must be knowledgeable in records of relevant laws and professional standards and satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Job Description for County Attorney:

The County Attorney serves as the principal legal adviser in the County Government. They attend meetings of the County Executive Committee as an ex-officio member. On instruction of the County Government, they represent the County Executive in court or any legal proceeding to which the County Executive is a party, other than criminal proceedings.

The role involves advising departments in the County Executive on legislative and other legal matters, negotiating, drafting, vetting and interpreting documents and agreements for and on behalf of the County Executive and its agencies.

The County Attorney is also responsible for the revision of County Laws, liaising with the office of the Attorney General when need arises, and performing any other function as may be necessary for the effective discharge of duties.

Information Communication Technology Officer III – 8 Posts

The County Government is hiring eight ICT Officers III. This is a full-time job in the ICT/Computer field based in Nakuru.

Job Requirements for ICT Officer III:

Candidates must have a Diploma in any of the following fields:

Computer Science, Information Communications Technology, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Data Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Cyber Security, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Job Description for ICT Officer III:

The ICT Officer III will be responsible for collecting ICT operational data, installing and configuring ICT end user devices, and installing, updating and configuring operating and application software.

They will troubleshoot, diagnose and solve network, software and hardware issues, provide ICT end user support, repair and maintain ICT equipment and associated peripherals, monitor the performance of ICT equipment, undertake basic ICT skilling, and man the ICT helpdesk.

Radiographer I – One Position

The County Government is also seeking one Radiographer I based in Nairobi.

Job Requirements for Radiographer I:

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in any of the following fields: Radiography, Radiography (Diagnostic), Radiography Technology, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. A Certificate in Computer Application Skills is also required.

Job Description for Radiographer I:

The Radiographer I will provide medical imaging services at a sub-county or referral hospital. They will process, verify and maintain information related to patients, provide care and counseling to patients and their relatives before, during and after examination.

The officer will also safeguard and provide basic maintenance and safety of medical imaging equipment in the hospital, establish and maintain Quality Assurance Programs in the department, coordinate procurement and safe storage of departmental supplies of radiographic materials, and prepare reports on radiography activities.
