Duties and Responsibilities
Timely placement of orders to avoid stockouts
Making follow ups on order deliveries and addressing any delays
Receiving goods in store by verifying supplier invoice against PO and physical confirmation
Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions
Ensure supplied goods are of good quality, well packaged and in sellable condition
Enter inventory data into inventory management system
Implementing FIFO principles by encouraging stock rotation
Prioritize clearance of slow moving and obsolete stocks
Prepare inventory for sale and deliveries
Ensure stock control measures are always in place to avoid stock loss as well as identifying risks.
Dispatching of goods to shop/customers in correct description and quantities
Data analysis and reconciliation to identify discrepancies and trends
Maintaining right stock levels based on demand and sales trend
Plan, supervise and coordinate cyclic stock audits/annual stock taking
Work alongside shop manager, sales personnel and shop/store attendants to ensure required products are readily available
Make note of damaged inventory and reporting for necessary action.
Conduct daily spot checks on high value items.
Maintain accurate records, stock files and stock management systems according to set standards
Compile and present stock reports to the management
Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.
