About the Kenya Forestry College (KFC)

The Kenya Forestry College (KFC) is established under Section 17 of the Forest Conservation and Management Act, 2016 and is managed by the Kenya Forest Service (KFS). Founded in 1956, the College is registered as a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution. It is the premier college in Kenya offering courses designed to equip trainees with high-quality technical skills in forestry and environmental conservation.

In addition to its regular programmes, KFC offers specially tailored short-term courses relevant to practitioners in the conservation sector. These include, among others, Law Enforcement for County Governments and Community Scouts.

Programmes & Application Process

  1. Download the application form.

  2. Fill it out appropriately.

  3. Send the completed form, accompanied by:

    • Copies of relevant academic documents

    • Copy of National Identity Card or Birth Certificate

    • Banking slip for the application fee

Application Fee

There is a non-refundable application fee of KES 1,000. Payment should be made through e-Citizen at:
kfs.ecitizen.go.ke

After payment, applicants must attach the e-Citizen Government copy or the banking slip to their application.

Applying Through KUCCPS

Students may also apply through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). Once placed, they are required to:

  • Confirm their admission on the KFS Website

  • Contact the Principal to receive their admission letters

Application Deadline

All applications MUST be received by April 30, 2025.
